International Tax Manager
 
Main responsibilities
 
Tax and Finance group wishes to appoint an International Tax Manager to lead a team of up to 10 people.  The primary responsibilities will be building and maintaining relationships with clients and providing high levels of client service, managing client relationships and contributing to winning new clients and  managing the successful delivery of projects ensuring technical excellence. 
 The position reports directly to a member of the Executive Board and a founding partner of the Group. Together with his support the candidate will be in charge of managing the team and thereafter, strongly assist in developing the business.
 
 Personal Attributes
  • ·Masters degree in Economics, Finance, Law or professional equivalent (eg ACA, CPA, Dottore Commercialista, CTA etc).
  • ·Strong technical knowledge in international tax matters and experience within the private client field.
  • ·The successful candidate will have a wealth of experience as a Manager in an international environment or as a solicitor/accountant specialised in international tax.
  • ·Strong motivated team player with a proven ability to manage, coach and develop employees combined with strong leadership skills.
  • ·Fully conversant with profit and loss statements and budgeting.
  • ·Client driven and strategically and commercially aware with good interpersonal skills and experience of successfully forming lasting clients relationships.
  • ·Outstanding commercial sense and business acumen, combined with a strong work ethic and a flexible attitude to work. 
  • ·Ability to profitably collaborate with the partners in both operational and representative activities.
  • ·There may be the possibility of travel with this role and the successful candidate must be willing and able to do this at short notice.
 The successful candidate must be resident in the UK and have had considerable UK professional work experience, an understanding of local and international regulatory framework is essential. Fluency in English is essential, fluency in other languages is desirable especially Italian.
 
 Conditions of employment
 
 The position is available immediately and is full-time and based at our office in London.   The compensation package offered to the successful candidate is negotiable and will be based upon their relevant experience and overall suitability and will be competitive with other similar Companies in this field.

 key objectives of the role

·Taking full control of the financial management of the company, with a significant input into the strategic planning and delivery process

  • Deputise for the Partners with a view to becoming the first point of contact for clients and the organistaion
  • Providing support in all areas of the organisation
  • Leading and developing the central finance team
  • ·Managing all external advisor relationships and liaison with the international group
  • ·Further development of internal systems and processes
  • ·Responsible for the review of financial statements and tax returns
  • ·Review of clients’ PAYE matters
  • ·Research and drafting  of reports in technical areas of accounting, audit and tax
  • ·Staff management and development
  • ·Compliance and internal procedure reviews
  • ·Other relevant ad hoc duties as required
knowledge, skills & qualifications – Essential /Desirable (E/D)
  • ·Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) (E)
  • ·Accountancy Practice experience (E)
  • ·A second language is preferable but not essential (D)
  • ·Experience of working in an international environment (E)
  • ·Experience of working at Financial Controller level (E)
